A New National Standard

Setting the
standard for
safety in
youth sports.

Pass The Coach prepares and approves volunteer coaches through age-based coaching education, first aid training, and verified background checks — so every coach is safe and prepared before they step on the sidelines.

The Problem

Safety is assumed.
It should be required.

01

No universal screening

Not every league or rec center requires a verified background check before their coaches step on the sidelines.

02

No safety education

Many volunteers never complete first aid, CPR awareness, or emergency preparedness training.

03

No coaching education

Abuse isn't only physical. Words, pressure, fear, and humiliation harm children too, leaving them with a bad experience and low self esteem.

The Solution

One standard.
Three requirements.

A simple, free program that prepares every coach before they lead. Complete all three and earn your digital PTC Pass.

01

Age-based education

Choose your age group — 4–7, 8–12, or 13–17 — and learn how to communicate, correct, and build confidence at that stage. Then pass a short quiz.

02

First aid & CPR

Complete a first aid and CPR awareness module so every coach knows what to do when seconds matter.

03

Verified background check

A professional, securely-handled background check — the compliance backbone of every PTC Approved coach.

Every game. Every child.

The right coach changes everything.

Why We Exist

It all started
with a coach.

Youth sports are one of the most powerful environments in a child's life. A good coach builds confidence, discipline, friendship, and resilience. The wrong one can do lasting harm.

Yet there is no universal standard for the millions of volunteers who coach our children. Requirements change from league to league. Pass The Coach exists to change that — one simple, consistent path that every coach can complete, fully funded so cost is never the reason a child goes unprotected.

Why It Matters

Children are protected
three ways — or
not at all.

Physical

Trained coaches recognize injury, heat, and emergencies — and act before harm spreads.

Emotional

How a coach speaks to a child shapes their confidence for years. Words matter.

Mental

Pressure, identity, and fear are real. Safe coaching supports the whole athlete.

"Abuse is not only physical. Words, pressure, fear, and humiliation can harm children too."

For Donors

Youth safety should never
depend on a league's budget.

Your gift covers the cost of training and background checks, so smaller leagues and volunteer coaches can still meet a national safety standard. Sponsor a coach today.
