Plain-language version: we collect only what we need, we don't sell your data, and sensitive screening information is handled by our background-check partner — not stored by us.

This Privacy Policy explains how Pass The Coach ("PTC," "we," "us") handles personal information when you use passthecoach.com (the "Site") or apply to become PTC Approved. Pass The Coach is a North Carolina nonprofit corporation (501(c)(3) status pending).
Like most websites, we and our hosting/analytics providers may collect basic technical data (e.g., device/browser type, pages viewed) to keep the Site working and improve it. We aim to use privacy-respecting analytics and to honor cookie choices where applicable.
We share information only with vendors that help us operate, and only as needed:
We do not sell your personal information.
Background checks are performed by a professional Consumer Reporting Agency. Before any check is run, you receive a stand-alone disclosure and provide written authorization through the screening partner's flow. If we ever decline an applicant based on a report, we follow the FCRA's adverse-action process (notice, a copy of the report, a summary of your rights, and an opportunity to dispute). Screening results are kept confidential and shared only with those who need them to make a decision.
We limit access to personal information, rely on reputable vendors with their own security programs, and keep information only as long as needed for our mission and legal obligations, then dispose of it securely.
The Site and coach application are intended for adults (coaches, parents, donors, and partners) — not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the account information we hold, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. For background-check records held by our screening partner, you also have rights directly with that provider under the FCRA.
We may update this policy as our programs grow or laws change. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
