The agreement for using our site and program. The most important part to read is the safety disclaimer: a PTC Pass reduces risk — it does not guarantee anyone's safety.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of passthecoach.com and the Pass The Coach program (together, the "Services"), operated by Pass The Coach, a North Carolina nonprofit corporation (501(c)(3) status pending). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a coach account or apply, and you agree to provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for activity under your account.
PTC provides age-based coaching education, first-aid awareness training, and a verified background check, and issues a digital "PTC Pass" to coaches who complete all requirements and pass screening. First-aid content is general awareness education, not medical advice or a professional medical credential.
Important safety disclaimer. A background check and a PTC Pass are risk-reduction tools. They reflect available records at a point in time and the completion of training — they do not guarantee that any individual is safe, trustworthy, or fit to work with children, and they cannot predict future conduct. Parents, leagues, and organizations remain responsible for their own supervision, hiring, and safety decisions. Pass The Coach does not employ, control, or supervise coaches and is not responsible or liable for the conduct of any coach, league, parent, or third party.
Background checks are performed by an independent, FCRA-compliant Consumer Reporting Agency through its secure flow. You will receive a stand-alone disclosure and provide authorization before any check is run. Eligibility decisions are made under our published adjudication standards, and adverse decisions follow the FCRA's notice and dispute process.
Our verification tool reports whether a coach currently holds a valid PTC Pass and when it was issued. It does not provide criminal records or guarantee a coach's conduct. Do not rely on it as your sole safety measure.
Donations are processed by third-party platforms and, unless required by law or clearly made in error, are non-refundable. Pass The Coach's 501(c)(3) status is pending; we do not represent that gifts are tax-deductible unless and until the IRS issues a determination letter, at which point we will confirm the effective date.
The Pass The Coach name, logo, content, and design are owned by PTC. You may not copy or use them without permission, except as needed to use the Services normally.
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pass The Coach and its directors, officers, volunteers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any coach, league, or third party, arising from your use of the Services.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pass The Coach from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms or the Services at any time; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. We may suspend or revoke a PTC Pass or account for violations of these Terms or our Code of Conduct.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
